Territories with a thousand-year-old culture, today a UNESCO World Heritage Site: Langhe and Roero provoke strong emotions when they are discovered. An ideal destination to immerse oneself in a nature that is not altered by the hand of man, these hills restore ancient atmospheres, offering visitors a rich artistic and monumental heritage made up of castles, country churches, votive piers and villages of ancient history.

The Langhe and Roero are one of the areas of Piedmont where there is the largest variety of gastronomic specialties, which can be discovered by visiting the many farms and shops that make up the economy of this region. La Nocciola Piemonte I.G.P with which nougats, sweets and cakes are prepared; cow and goat cheeses; the finest cold cuts, vegetables, Roero honey, chestnuts, preserves. But above all, the great white and red wines - above all Barolo and Barbaresco - and the inimitable Alba White Truffle, the "King of mushrooms".

A few kilometers from our farmhouse in Langhe is Alba, a town that has become famous in the world as the "capital of the Langhe". A lively cultural and economic center, Alba is home to the Alba International White Truffle Fair in the fall, while in spring it hosts Vinum, a kermesse dedicated to the discovery of the best wines of the area.

Itineraries in Langhe and Roero

Starting from the Agriturismo Marcarini in Langhe you can take several itineraries to discover the wonders of this region. The Langa Barolo and Barbaresco, to be enjoyed through the visit of wineries and wine bars; the Roero, located on the left bank of the river Tanaro, whose offshoot reaches the provinces of Asti and Turin; or the medieval castles that dominate the villages of Barolo, Roddi, Grinzane Cavour, Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto, Guarene and others.

Our farmhouse in the Langhe offers its guests the opportunity to relax and practice sports immersing themselves in the unspoiled green hills in walking, cycling, horseback and canoeing. It can be fun to immerse yourself in the woods of the Langhe and Roero in search of the Alba White Truffle accompanied by expert trifolao, or try the thrill of a balloon flight to appreciate some of the best views that Piedmont can offer.
